I'm right here.

ABJTIM Media is based in Bridgeport, just outside Saginaw, and I've been photographing weddings since 2018.

I've photographed the big weddings and the small ones. Church weddings. Outdoor weddings. Weddings where everything ran perfectly on time—and weddings where the timeline was basically gone before lunch.

And that's probably shaped the way I work more than anything else.

I don't want your wedding day to feel like an eight-hour photoshoot.

Yes, I do both photography and film

ABJTIM is a hybrid photographer and filmmaker. I shoot both.

For couples who want both, there are some real advantages to having one person handle everything.

I'm not competing with another shooter for the same shot.

I'm not meeting another creative team for the first time on your wedding morning.

And you don't have a small army following you around all day.

I already know how the photos and the film are going to work together.

More importantly, your photographs and your film are being created with the same vision.

What does my work look like?

Cinematic is probably the easiest word.

My work tends to be a little richer, moodier and more dramatic than the bright-and-airy look.

But I never want the style to become more important than the people.

Twenty years from now, I still want you to recognize yourselves.

So I'll give direction when you need it. I'll fix the little things. I'll find the good light.

And then I'll get out of the way and let things happen.

Some of my favorite photographs from weddings weren't planned at all.

“We're awkward in front of the camera.”

I hear this constantly.

Seriously.

You don't need to know how to pose.

That's my job.

Most couples aren't professional models and shouldn't have to pretend to be. I'll give you enough direction that you know what to do without turning your wedding into a fashion shoot.

Usually it doesn't take long before everybody forgets about the camera anyway.

Saginaw is home base, but I travel

Being in Bridgeport puts me in a pretty great spot.

I'm minutes from Saginaw and Frankenmuth and within easy reach of Bay City and Midland. Flint isn't far either, and Metro Detroit is an easy trip.

I've also traveled outside Michigan for weddings.

So if you love my work and your wedding isn't in Saginaw, don't let that stop you from reaching out.

I especially love church weddings

A lot of the weddings I've photographed over the years have taken place in churches.

I understand that the ceremony isn't a photoshoot.

If your pastor has guidelines, I'll follow them. If I need to stay out of a certain area, that's fine. If flash isn't permitted, I'll plan around it.

My job is to preserve what's happening without becoming what's happening.
